Comrades and Auxiliary Members

March should bring warmer weather and we will be having some outdoor activities. The Post will be doing a benefit for the Smith family, they lost their home in December due to a fire. We will need volunteers to help with the fish fry and other activities. We will schedule the benefit for March 31st . If you can help with this benefit please contact Kim Smart or myself.

Walmart's Donna Gillispie the Asset Protection Manager called about hiring Veterans for a new program Walmart is implementing. The job called “More At The Door Transition Guide” is primarily a customer service position. The job pays $11.50 per hour to start. The hours are 9am – 10pm and full time positions are 33 – 40 hours per week. Part time positions are 0 – 32 hours. If you are interested you can contact Donna Gillispie at the Azle Walmart.

Auxiliary News:

Our next meeting is March 8, 2018. The past two months have been short on members due to illness. I hope all are on their way to being well.

Hopefully, we will be Draping the Charter for our sister Glenda Lek. Glenda passed away on December 28, 2017.

Azle Manor Nursing Home bingo is every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Volunteers are always welcome and needed to help the residents holler “Bingo”. Stacy Spraggins is the Auxiliary leader and Brakeen “Sam” Sampey is the caller.

Monday night dinner served around 7:00 -7:30 PM. Come join us.

We do not have to wait for a holiday to say Thank You to all who have served and are serving now.
